Frustrated and desperate

African life dawns glorious around us
I am ever thankful for eyes to see
but ears to hear?
this is more difficult

no matter how often I try to explain
"one ear doesn't hear much at all
and instead is filled with rings and clicks
and ocean noises"
people speak quietly
even whisper on that side
add living in a cross cultural setting
and mix of languages
and the challenge increases

I am weary of requesting repetition
the strain of working so hard
to understand
uses valuable energy
leaving me wasted
for other tasks at hand

daily we have been requesting
the healing that only God can provide
that He will glorify Himself
doing what man and science can not

I am desperate for His touch
and ask that you would join my petitions

Lord do what only You can do
and to You and You alone
be all the glory
all the praise
and all the thanks

  2. May you know His touch, right where you need it, and may it be life-transforming, uplifting, encouraging and may there be beauty for ashes, the oil of JOY for mourning, a garment of praise for a spirit of heaviness, that you might be a tree of righteousness, the planting of the Lord, that He may be glorified.

  3. Praying for wholeness. Praying for peace of mind. Praying for joy in the journey.
